Our First Spring Subscription Bunches
Our first Spring Subscription Bunches were 85% Cumbrian Flowers grown by us and 15% Cornish Flowers and foliage this week.
We celebrated our speciality tulips with a mix of different varieties in each bunch; there was a flamboyant parrot tulip, a mixture of double (or peony) tulips and some ridiculously huge lily and Darwin tulips in each bunch. (If they’re not massive yet, just you wait! )
We are harvesting our eucalyptus at the moment so every bunch included this. I don’t know the variety, but I grew one of these from seed. There was also a stem of Parvi Eucalyptus from Cornwall (it has a bushier habit than our varieties!) and every bunch had a stem of Amelanchier too from our field. Such a pretty blossom! I LOVE it!
The last of the Cornish ranunculus brought extra ruffles - I’ve been buying these since January and I just hope mine will be in abundance for the next subscription! Some bunches had flowering currant, others a stem of Skimmia. Thank you to our subscribers and customers up and down west Cumbria, we are truly grateful to you for your support and love of what we do! Enjoy your flowers.
