Now closed until Spring

Now the wreathing is finished, and our ‘flower shop’ is closed until spring, I’m finding my ‘winter rhythm’. Having a seasonal business suits me because it means I can put the longer hours in when I’m naturally more full of energy. And when it’s colder and so dark, I can be inside more. It’s not hibernation though, because I do need to get outside everyday. I tend to my seedlings, and do some winter jobs and walk. Walk. Look. Hear. And breathe. My mental and physical health (so linked of course) needs this and it keeps me attuned to the natural world from where I draw my inspiration, motivation and encouragement.

These were taken in our woodland yesterday as I walked off some stress. We leave this area to be ‘wild’ so it’s too overgrown in summer to really explore. But once things start to die down we cans physically get in to have a peep!
