Eco-Innovation with Cumbria University

2020 didn’t really go as expected but one of the things that went ahead was our work with Eco Innovation Cumbria, led by Glyn and Sarah at the University of Cumbria.

Eco Innovation Cumbria was an initiative to cut greenhouse gas emissions, supporting research into efficiency, innovation and capacity building. We had a brilliant intern, Laura Giles, research the carbon footprint of different propagation and retail plant pot options and different weed suppressant options where the status quo is plastic products. We will share the results of her research and how we’re acting on her results over the next few weeks.

They created an e-zine to promote the different projects that were undertaken. It’s great to see such a range of businesses seeking ways to reduce their carbon emissions.
