Seasonal Traditions

A few cold nights and sticking a lot of foliage with a big bow on your front door suddenly seems totally appropriate…

… as does dragging an evergreen into your front room!

I love these seasonal traditions. I’m not one for elf on shelf antics, elaborate advents or coordinated jumpers, but I love the simple things that tie us in to the natural world and the changing seasons so for me ‘Christmas decorations’ mean a wreath, a tree, some mistletoe and perhaps some foliage on the table if I have time. And for the first time in my lifetime (!) our tree is up already. Normally we wait until after my birthday but I’ve decided I want the sparkle and cheer.

Are your decorations up? Is it too early? Are you too busy? (Or are yours already gathering dust?!! ) It’s certainly feeling December-y here!
