Caring for your bouquets

The north wind doth blow”; if it brings snow I will howl and emigrate but it is chilly out, which has reminded me that the temptation to put the heating on is huge and therefore a gentle reminder on how to look after your flowers might be timely...

Here are some of our tips to help your flowers stay looking lovely for as long as possible.

Our bouquet top tips:

  • Place your flowers out of direct sunlight and away from fruit.

  • Keep your vase of flowers somewhere cool.

  • Changing the water and recutting the stems will also help them stay fresh.

Our full care advice is on the back of our bouquet label so do take a peep when you next buy a bunch... personally I tend to have my flowers on our sitting room sideboard or kitchen mantelpiece because both are away from the windows, the fruit bowl and the radiators. When the log burner gets lit, the kitchen dresser will host a jug but (thankfully!) we’ve not needed to do that yet..... yet!!!

Our flowers are still available to pick up from our Cumbrian Honesty Box. Bespoke Gift Bouquets are also available for pick up or delivery can be arranged for a fee, please get in touch to arrange.
