February in the Field
The field is very grey at the moment, with little sign of life - it’s only just February after all - but the ‘little tunnel’ where we propagate and nurture seedlings is full of a vibrant green growth.
On the sunnier days I spend a very happy hour or two in there, enjoying the heat (balmy double digits) and fettle. Things are quieter at this time of year, but there’s increasing anticipation for flowers!
Whilst I am working in January, the advantage of this time of year is that there’s less pressure and I’m more able to think. So some of the projects I started last year are getting finished off and new ones are bubbling up…
I’ve written the remaining chapters of ‘our story’ and will post them over the next week. Today I’m going to London for the Sustainable Wedding Alliance summit and Sustainable Wedding Awards, where we’re finalists. I’m looking forward to a big dose of enthusiasm and inspiration from the great range of speakers and the other brilliant businesses in the room.
If ever there was a time to galvanize and double down on doing better, it’s today!
Hope you’re all doing ok this winter, the flowers are coming….
