May Flowers Are On The Way

It’s Friday, the end of another week and the last Friday in April.

I’ve been a bit quiet on our Facebook and Instagram because I’ve found the social media noise a bit distracting and unhelpful. (And yet the connection with you, my customers is uplifting and helpful. Tricky!)

I’m very busy; April is a hectic month because we start to pick and sell flowers, we are sowing seeds, potting on, planting out and (delayed badly by the dreadful weather this winter) making flower beds, weeding and mulching too. Weddings start in earnest in May so we’re prepping those and we’ve been making flowers for funerals. And I’ve not mentioned any admin, emails, marketing, accounting, ordering or business development stuff… honestly, there’s a reasonable reason why this month feels overwhelming.

And yet we’ve had a beautifully colourful time with our tulips. They’ve brought a lot of joy and really kept me going too… There are only a handful of bunches available today I’m afraid.

Thank you to everyone for coming to the flower stall and also ordering gift bouquets (pictured here!). Next up is May: The month of PEONIES!
